Vrindavan, often called the "City of Temples," is home to over 5,000 temples, each dedicated to Lord Krishna and his divine pastimes. These temples, ranging from ancient, historic structures to newer establishments, create a spiritual atmosphere that attracts pilgrims and visitors from around the world. The sacred town’s temples offer a blend of devotion, architecture, and the timeless stories of Krishna, making Vrindavan a significant destination for those seeking spiritual enlightenment and peace.
The Sri Radha-Raman Temple, established by Gopal Bhatta Goswami, houses the deity of Radha-Raman, self-manifested from a shalagram-shila in 1542. Celebrated annually in May, the deity is bathed in 1,000 liters of milk. The temple also holds Gopal Bhatta’s wooden seat, shawl from Lord Chaitanya, and his samadhi. Known for its high standards of worship, the temple’s kitchen fire has been burning continuously for over 470 years.
